Youth performance team
Before starting with B42, Roland Hofmann, coach of 1. FC Nuremberg's U16w youth performance team, had the same concern many coaches have with new software: would he understand everything, how long would it take to get up to speed? Today, the Co-Trainer Coach Zone is a fixed part of his daily coaching routine — from the post-training workload check to his team's monthly flood of workouts.
Pillar · Organization
3-minute workload check instead of one-on-ones
After every training session and match, Roland sends a workload check to his team. Players self-rate exertion, soreness, pain points and general wellbeing — in three minutes, instead of time-consuming individual conversations with every player in the squad.
“That's the best thing in the app. And the feedback is phenomenal.” — Roland Hofmann, Coach U16w
Pillar · Team Development
Fitness training outsourced, without losing control
A fixed weekly rhythm — mobility on Monday, stability and strength Tuesday through Thursday, ball-specific work on Friday, a recovery run on Sunday — keeps fitness training structured, without costing Roland any extra pitch time.
“I can outsource the entire fitness training and have more time during training.” — Roland Hofmann, Coach U16w
Pillar · Motivation
From fiasco to self-sustaining habit
The start was bumpy — the first workout assignments weren't intuitive for the players. A week later, everything ran smoothly, and today an average of 600 completed workouts a month is simply part of life for the U16w team.
“At the start, it was honestly a fiasco.” — Roland Hofmann, Coach U16w
