Data collection in our app

Data processing is carried out by the app operator. See point 2 for contact details. Your data is collected when you provide it to us (e.g. form data), and other data is automatically collected by our IT systems (technical data such as browser, operating system, time of access).

What data do we collect and what do we use it for?

This includes: identity data (first/last name, date of birth, email, gender, social media identification), contact details (phone number, email, messenger ID, social media handle), body and training information (body size, weight, fitness level, training priorities, playing position), purchase information (payment service provider, subscription duration, price, currency, VAT), behavioral and profile information (your user behavior on the app), social media information (from your interaction with us on Facebook, Instagram, Google), device information (IP address, date/time of visit, duration, transferred data volume, referral URL, visited pages, browser type, add-ons, device identifiers, device type, versions, operating system), activity information (fitness data such as training program, start/end of training, activities).

Your rights: You have the right to receive free information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data at any time, as well as the right to correction, blocking or deletion.

Analytical tools: When you visit our app, your usage behavior can be statistically evaluated, mostly with cookies and analysis programs, usually anonymously.

3. Data collection in our app

Cookies: This app sometimes uses so-called cookies, mostly “session cookies” that are deleted automatically at the end of your visit.

Server log files: browser type/version, operating system, referrer URL, host name, time of server request, IP address.

Profile data: An account is required to use the app fully. The email address required for this is stored on our server and used only for login functionality and important emails (e.g. password reset, order confirmation).

Login with Facebook: This app offers login via Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA). Name and email are retrieved from Facebook after explicit consent.

Legal basis: Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

4. Analysis tools

Google Analytics: This app uses Google Analytics (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) with IP anonymization activated. You can object at first app launch or later in the app settings (“Profile” tab -> icon top right).

Hotjar: This app uses Hotjar (Hotjar Ltd., 3 Lyons Range, 20 Bisazza Street, Sliema SLM 1640, Malta, Europe). Collected: anonymized device IP, your email incl. name (if available), screen size, device/browser info, geographic location (country only), preferred language.

5. Further tools

Bugsnag: For error tracking (Bugsnag Inc., 939 Harrison Street, San Francisco, California 94107, USA). Collected: anonymized user ID, device/OS/browser type, geographic location (country only), timestamp, error log and stack trace.

Facebook Connect: Integrated to create/log into a B42 account via Facebook.

Mailgun: Used to send important emails such as password reset and order confirmation (MailGun Inc., 620 Folsom St, Ste 100, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA).

Adjust: Used to analyze and optimize marketing activities regarding app usage (Adjust GmbH, Saarbrücker Str. 37A, 10405 Berlin).

Clevertap: Combined analytics and marketing solution (WizRocket Inc., 440 N Wolfe Rd, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA).

UXCam: Used to analyze user experience (UXCam Inc., 6250 Cypress Avenue, El Cerrito, CA, 94530, USA). Only pseudonymized technical usage data is collected — no contact data or passwords.

6. Users’ rights

Every data subject has the right to information under Article 15 GDPR, the right to rectification under Article 16 GDPR, the right to deletion under Article 17 GDPR, the right to restrict processing under Article 18 GDPR, the right to object under Article 21 GDPR and the right to data portability under Article 20 GDPR.
